Northrop Grumman sends three separate emails to promote hiring, their blog and news site, and company achievements. A theme was designed for each vertical that was loyal to Northrop Grumman’s main brand and converted into reusable HTML templates that were responsive and accessible.

Mobile-First Approach

Utilizing modular, component-based structures and responsive tables was paramount for the success of the newsletters and the experience of the readers since mobile open rates are at 53%.

HTML templates with live text ensure headlines and calls-to-action display even when images are blocked, improves dark-mode rendering, loads faster than image-heavy designs, and avoids high image-to-text ratios that can trigger spam filters.

Reduce, Reuse & Recycle

Modular components were created for sections that are featured in every email. Top stories, article previews, news cards, featured job openings - all of them are built to be editable for efficient creation each month while ensuring consistent rendering across every inbox and device.
